Egyptian Minister of Education and Technical Education, Mohamed Abdellatif, participated as a guest of honor in the celebration of German Unity Day, held at the German Embassy in Cairo. The event was attended by Florian Hahn, State Minister in the German Federal Foreign Ministry, and Ambassador Jürgenscholz, the German Ambassador to Egypt. Minister Abdellatif delivered a speech, expressing his appreciation for being part of the celebration, representing Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

During his speech, Minister Abdellatif extended warm greetings from Prime Minister Madbouly and the Egyptian government and people to the German government and people on their national day. He wished Germany continued peace, prosperity, and progress. The Minister highlighted that certain moments in a nation's history continue to shape its future, citing German unity as a significant example. He emphasized that when nations unite around a common goal and aspiration, they can achieve something greater than what seemed possible.

Minister Abdellatif noted that Germany has transformed its unity into decades of economic strength, scientific progress, and innovation, investing in its most valuable resource – its people. He stressed that nations are ultimately built by their people's hands, through the knowledge they acquire, the skills they develop, and the opportunities created for them. The Minister also underlined the strong and evolving partnership between Egypt and Germany, spanning politics, trade, investment, industry, energy, development cooperation, science, culture, tourism, and education.

The Minister emphasized that the partnership between Egypt and Germany is particularly evident in education and skills development, which are crucial for building human capacity and empowering youth for the future. He noted that the partnership reflects a shared understanding that education should link knowledge to ability, learning to opportunity, and the classroom to the outside world. Minister Abdellatif also highlighted Germany's experience in connecting education to industry and the job market, making it a valuable partner for Egypt as it transforms its technical education system.

The Minister pointed out that the value of Egypt-Germany cooperation in education cannot be measured solely by programs or agreements but by the impact on individuals, such as teachers who are better equipped to inspire their students, young people who acquire skills that open up career opportunities, and families whose futures change because of the education provided. He stressed that Egypt is preparing its youth for a world undergoing significant changes driven by artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and the transition to a green economy.

Minister Abdellatif expressed his appreciation for the German government's support and the efforts of Egyptian and German specialists who have built bridges of cooperation between the two countries. He emphasized that diplomatic relations are established between governments, while friendships are built between nations. The Minister concluded his speech by reiterating Egypt's congratulations to Germany on its national day and expressing hope for continued cooperation and development in the relations between the two countries.

State Minister Florian Hahn welcomed Minister Abdellatif as a guest of honor, thanking him for his contributions to strengthening Egyptian-German cooperation. Hahn highlighted that Germany and Egypt are working together to create organized and formal pathways for qualified professionals, promote vocational training, and facilitate the transfer of knowledge and expertise. He emphasized that the strong German presence in Egypt's education sector, through German schools and upcoming projects, not only provides educational opportunities but also builds bridges between the two societies.
