Egyptian diplomat and chair of the "Fahm" foundation, Nebila Makram, has emphasized the resilience of women in the face of adversity, citing their ability to overcome challenges due to life experiences. Speaking at a session titled "The Power Behind Success" at the "Women in Business Summit," Makram shared her own diplomatic journey, which she described as not being easy, particularly in a society with traditional rules that required her to make extra effort and sacrifices.

The "Women in Business Summit" aimed to empower women psychologically and professionally, with over 500 participants and a range of specialists and experts in attendance. Makram highlighted the important role of Egyptian women in their families, stating that they are often the backbone of the household. She also noted that while Egyptian society is considered generous, it sometimes lacks a culture of providing appropriate support to those in need.

Makram stressed the importance of women's awareness of their psychological needs and personal choices, as well as their ability to manage responsibilities in a balanced manner. She also emphasized the significance of mental health and promoting a culture of psychological well-being, in order to break down stereotypes that associate strength with the ability to bear all burdens alone.

According to Makram, recognizing psychological pressures does not undermine a woman's strength or ability to achieve, but rather reflects an awareness of the challenges she faces daily. She encouraged women to seek psychological support, viewing it as a positive step towards maintaining their well-being and ability to continue.

Makram also emphasized that successful women are not required to be strong all the time and that it is their right to find support and recognition. She concluded her speech by highlighting the importance of maintaining psychological balance, not as a luxury, but as a crucial element in building a woman who can achieve, contribute, and have a lasting positive impact.

Dr. Mona El-Khouli, a professor of psychiatry, also spoke at the summit, highlighting the growing need for group therapy in Egyptian society. She noted that group therapy is no longer just a treatment tool for patients, but a societal necessity to combat the increasing isolation and individualism that characterizes human relationships.

Dr. El-Khouli advised individuals to deal with criticism in a calm and objective manner, recognizing that a person's value is determined by themselves, not by others. The summit provided a platform for women to share their experiences and insights, with the aim of promoting women's empowerment and supporting their personal and professional development.
