Dr. Islam Ragab, Deputy Governor of Matruh, has announced that 3817 contracts have been issued to citizens as part of efforts to regularize land ownership in the governorate. This move is in line with the directives of Governor Dr. Mohamed El-Zamlot to expedite the regularization process and provide relief to citizens. Dr. Ragab chaired a weekly meeting via video conference to review the progress of land regularization in the governorate. The meeting was attended by Dr. Hussein El-Sinini, Secretary General of the governorate, Colonel Ihab Nafea, Deputy Secretary General, and Eng. Walid Bondari, Director of the Matruh Survey Department, among others. The meeting aimed to review the status of regularization requests in each of the eight cities in the governorate.
The meeting reviewed the executive position of regularization requests, with a total of 9888 requests submitted under Law No. 144 of 2017. Out of these, 8200 requests have been inspected, and 3617 contracts have been issued. The Deputy Governor emphasized the need to expedite the completion of pending requests and resolve any obstacles that may hinder the process.
In addition to Law No. 144 of 2017, the governorate has also received 2462 requests under Law No. 168 of 2025. Of these, 942 requests have been inspected, and 200 contracts have been issued so far. The Deputy Governor stressed the importance of continuing to follow up on the regularization process to ensure that the rights of both the state and citizens are protected.
