On September 20, Ambassador Nabil Habashi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad, held a virtual meeting with a group of Egyptian youth studying abroad who are members of the Young Egyptians Network Abroad (YENA). This meeting was part of the state's efforts to enhance communication with its citizens abroad and care for Egyptian youth.
During the meeting, the Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized the state's interest in intensifying communication with Egyptian youth abroad, listening to their needs and proposals, in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad, Dr. Badr Abdel Aty. He reviewed the main channels of communication, initiatives and services provided by the Ministry to Egyptians abroad.
The meeting was attended by representatives from a number of national bodies concerned, where they answered questions from young people regarding settlement of conscription status, equivalence of university certificates, and services and incentives offered to entrepreneurs and Egyptians abroad wishing to invest in Egypt.
The Deputy Foreign Minister praised the role played by Egyptian youth abroad in representing Egypt in a dignified manner, stressing the importance of continued communication and interaction with them and enhancing their contribution to supporting the national economy and preserving Egyptian interests.
