One of the most notable decisions was to halt the implementation of a previous decision that required government employees to work remotely on Sundays. This decision applies to all employees in institutions and entities specified in the original decree. The Cabinet also approved a draft decree establishing a program for developing leadership talents. This program, to be implemented by the National Academy for Training and Qualifying Youth, targets preparing and qualifying cadres with the necessary leadership and administrative abilities to fill leadership positions within the state administrative apparatus. The program is open to employees who have demonstrated efficiency, merit, and leadership qualities, with specific eligibility criteria, including a minimum rank and years of experience.
The leadership development program allows competent authorities in state administrative units to nominate employees who meet the required standards. Employees who have not been nominated by their authorities but meet the criteria can also apply, as can non-state employees with a minimum age of 35 and 12 years of experience. The program outlines specific procedures for enrollment and execution, aiming to enhance leadership capabilities within the public sector.
In addition to the leadership program, the Cabinet approved draft decrees to include martyrs and injured individuals from the armed forces and civil employees in the wars and security operations into the fund for honoring martyrs, victims, missing persons, and injured individuals in war and security operations. This move seeks to provide support and recognition to those who have made sacrifices in the line of duty.
The Cabinet also greenlit several other decisions, including contracting with the Supreme Council of Antiquities to implement a risk mitigation project for the Al-Mutawalli Mosque in Al-Mahalla Al-Kubra, Gharbeya Governorate. Furthermore, the Cabinet approved the Alexandria University's contract for executing new works on the project to establish a medical college and university hospital, contributing to the development of the education and healthcare sectors in Beheira Governorate.
Other approved decisions include the disposal of a 14,756.25 square-meter area in Port Said for the benefit of the East Delta Flour Mills Company, a state-owned company involved in providing strategic goods. The Cabinet also agreed to renew a contract for EgyptAir to use a premises owned by the East Delta Governorate for a period of 10 years, facilitating travel procedures for citizens.
Finally, the Cabinet approved a contract for the Ministry of Health and Population to carry out maintenance work at several hospitals, including Tonnt General Hospital, Toukh Central Hospital, and Boulaq Al-Dakrour General Hospital, as part of efforts to improve healthcare services and infrastructure in Egypt.
