The Egyptian General Authority for Books has announced a discount of up to 20% on its publications, available at all its sales outlets, to mark the 53rd anniversary of the October victory. The list of publications includes "Small Joys and 5 Stories That Revive the Soul" by Samir Abdel Fattah, "The Story of a Battle" by Salah Ahmed Abdel Halim, "Heroes of Aviation in the Ramadan Battle" by Ali Osman Ziko, "Tales of the Boys and the Land" by Mohamed Nabil, and "The October War of 1973: Between Facts and Lies" by Mohamed Abdel Khalik Qashuq. Another book, "Art in the Battle: Stories of Artists and Writers on the Front" by Mohamed Sayed Ryan, is also part of the publications.

In addition to the discounts, the Egyptian General Authority for Books is organizing several book fairs and cultural events throughout October. The events began with the 9th Damanhour Book Fair, which took place from October 1 to 10. Other events include the Supreme Council for Culture book fair and the Shalatin Book Fair, which ran from October 4 to 12.

The authority is also participating in the "Theatre of Confrontation and Exploration" event in North and South Sinai governorates from October 4 to 14. Furthermore, a book fair is being held at Al-Azhar University's central library from October 6 to 18. These events aim to promote a culture of reading and provide access to knowledge for various segments of society.

The Egyptian General Authority for Books is also organizing a cultural program titled "October in the Eyes of Our Children" at the New Cairo Public Library.
