In the realm of market regulation, the General Security Sector and the General Directorate for Supply and Trade Police, in coordination with security directors, conducted campaigns to detect economic crimes. These efforts targeted manipulations in bread prices, sales above set prices, and failure to display prices.
Within 24 hours, these campaigns uncovered multiple cases related to free tourist bakeries and subsidized bakeries. Authorities seized over 13 tons of subsidized white flour. These operations reflect ongoing government efforts to regulate markets and prevent exploitation.
In combating foreign currency crimes, the General Security Sector, in collaboration with the General Directorate for Combating Financial Crimes and security directors, uncovered cases of illicit foreign currency trading. The total financial value of these cases amounted to approximately 6 million Egyptian pounds.
