The irregularities found in bakeries included 10 cases of producing bread that did not meet quality standards, 5 cases of unclean utensils, 4 cases of underweight bread, 2 cases of missing records, and 8 cases of not displaying bread prices. Additionally, 2 cases of selling tourist bread at prices higher than the set rate were detected. These findings highlight the need for stricter monitoring of bakeries to ensure consumer protection.
In the markets, authorities discovered 22 cases of not displaying prices, 28 cases of not having health certificates, 8 cases of selling cigarettes at prices higher than the official rate, and 2 cases of not using the Arabic language. These irregularities demonstrate a lack of adherence to regulations and standards in market operations.
Inspectors also found 3 irregularities among subsidized commodity distributors for not displaying prices of subsidized goods and 4 cases of business closures. A fuel station was found to be inactive, and necessary legal actions were taken against those responsible for the irregularities. These findings indicate a need for closer monitoring of subsidized goods distribution and business operations.
Ismailia Supply and Trade Deputy Minister Majdi Abdel Karim Amer emphasized that monitoring campaigns would continue across various commercial and supply activities. He stated that authorities would deal firmly with irregularities that affect citizens' health or involve commercial fraud and price manipulation.
