Further campaigns in other districts, including Kerdasa and El-Warrak, led to the confiscation of 19 sacks of ammonium nitrate fertilizer and 45 sacks of the same product. Authorities also uncovered cases of missing weights, failure to display prices, and unlicensed activities. These findings highlight the prevalence of irregularities in the market and the need for sustained monitoring.
In the El-Obour and Siwa areas, authorities detected additional irregularities, including 5 cases of missing weights and unregistered inspection records. One and a half tons of unknown-source chicken carcasses and 250 kilograms of minced meat were confiscated. These operations underscore the breadth of the government's efforts to regulate the market and ensure consumer safety.
The Egyptian authorities also targeted bakeries and food establishments in various districts. In El-Warrak, 10 cases of missing weights were reported, and 40 sacks of subsidized flour were found to have been repackaged. In the El-Saf area, authorities discovered 30 sacks of subsidized flour stored in unlicensed warehouses. These findings indicate that illegal trading practices persist, necessitating continued vigilance.
The campaigns also extended to other areas, including El-Ayat and El-Boulak El-Dakrur. Authorities issued 6 reports for missing weights and 13 reports for various bakery-related irregularities. Furthermore, 434 boxes of smuggled cigarettes and 85 food cards used for fraudulent transactions were confiscated. These results demonstrate the authorities' commitment to enforcing regulations across different sectors.
