The Egyptian Armed Forces have announced the acceptance of a new batch of conscripts, known as the January 2027 recruitment phase. Individuals with higher education qualifications who are eligible for conscription will be received at recruitment and mobilization offices starting October 15, 2026, and will undergo medical examination at mobilization areas from October 28 to November 19, 2026. Those with intermediate and above-intermediate qualifications, as well as those with average qualifications, have different eligibility criteria and registration dates.
The required documents for conscription include a national ID card, military service and national card, original birth certificate, police clearance certificate, blood type, and original educational qualification certificate. Additionally, married individuals must provide marriage documents, and those with a driver's license must also provide it.
The Egyptian Armed Forces have also introduced a pre-registration service to facilitate the process for young people and reduce the need for repeated visits to recruitment and mobilization offices. This service allows individuals to schedule their registration and medical examination in advance through the website of the Recruitment and Mobilization Department.
Important guidelines have been issued for young people undergoing conscription, including the requirement for those eligible for exemption or postponement to provide supporting documents. Additionally, individuals with qualifications from outside Egypt must have their certificates validated by the Higher Education Council.
