The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has issued a forecast predicting a significant drop in temperatures across Egypt, with mild conditions expected during the day and cool to cold conditions at night and early morning hours. This drop in temperature is expected to continue until Thursday, November 12. The EMA also warned of the formation of mist in various areas, which may reduce horizontal visibility.

The EMA has provided expected temperature ranges for different regions in Egypt. In Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt, temperatures are expected to range from 24C to 16C. In Northern Coasts, temperatures will range from 23C to 17C, while in Northern Upper Egypt, temperatures will range from 25C to 15C. Southern Upper Egypt is expected to experience temperatures ranging from 28C to 17C, and in Sharm El-Sheikh, temperatures will range from 26C to 20C.

The EMA has issued a warning regarding the formation of occasionally dense water mist between 4 am and 9 am. This mist is expected to affect roads leading to and from the northern part of the country, extending to Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. The mist may reduce horizontal visibility, and motorists are advised to exercise caution when driving on affected roads.

There is a 30 percent chance of light to moderate rainfall occurring intermittently across parts of the northern coast and the northern Lower Egypt, with a particular focus on northern Sinai. Additionally, there is a lower probability of 20 percent of light rain in parts of the southern Lower Egypt, the Suez Canal cities, and the Gulf of Suez. This rain may potentially extend to Greater Cairo and the Red Sea Governorate.

The Mediterranean coast, including cities such as Matrouh, Al-Alamein, Alexandria, Beheira, Kafr el-Sheikh, and Damietta, is experiencing disruptions to maritime navigation. Wind speeds are expected to reach 40-50 km/h, with wave heights between two and three meters. Winds will also pick up periodically across most regions, making the drop in temperatures feel more pronounced.

Given the cold nighttime conditions and morning mist, the EMA has advised citizens to wear relatively warm clothing, especially late at night and early in the morning. Motorists are advised to exercise caution when driving on roads affected by mist, and the public is advised to stay updated with the latest bulletins issued by the EMA.

The EMA's forecast and warnings are crucial for citizens to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety. By following the EMA's advice and staying informed, citizens can minimize the risks associated with the drop in temperatures and rainfall. The EMA's forecast is based on thorough analysis and monitoring of weather conditions, providing reliable information to the public.
