Egyptian Transport Minister, Engineer Kامل الوزير, paid a visit to the Saudi Embassy in Cairo on September 22, 2026, to congratulate Saudi Ambassador, صالح بن عيد الحصينى, on Saudi National Day. During the meeting, Minister الوزير conveyed the greetings of Egyptian President, عبد الفتاح السيسى, and Prime Minister, مصطفى مدبولى, to the King of Saudi Arabia, سلمان بن عبد العزيز آل سعود, and his Crown Prince, محمد بن سلمان.

The Egyptian Transport Minister stressed that the upcoming phase requires continued cooperation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, exploring new opportunities for economic, investment, and trade partnerships. He pointed out that the Egyptian-Saudi Higher Coordination Council represents a significant framework for coordinating efforts and pushing bilateral cooperation to meet the aspirations of both countries.
Minister الوزير also highlighted the significant cooperation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia in the field of transportation and logistics. He emphasized the importance of the Southern Arab Trade Corridor, which connects Europe and Gulf countries through Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The minister mentioned that Egypt has started implementing eight comprehensive logistics corridors, connecting Red Sea and Mediterranean ports to dry ports, industrial and agricultural areas, and mining zones. These corridors will provide efficient transportation routes for goods, reducing transit times and costs, and enhancing Egypt's economic competitiveness.
