The Egyptian government has announced that registration for the third phase of the "Your Home in Egypt" initiative will begin on November 10, 2026. The initiative, launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Egyptians abroad, aims to provide Egyptians residing abroad with the opportunity to own units in various projects across the country. According to Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Engineer Randa El-Minshawi, the third phase will offer approximately 4,000 units in several new cities.
The units will be available in cities such as New El Alamein, New Cairo, El Shorouk, 6th of October, Sheikh Zayed, New Administrative Capital, New Mansoura, and New Damietta. Some of the projects included in the third phase are "Madinti", "Jannah", "Zilal", "Dyarna", "Mazareen", and "Zahya". El-Minshawi stated that the initiative is in line with the state's efforts to meet the aspirations of Egyptians abroad and provide them with diverse opportunities to own units in their home country, whether for settlement or investment purposes.
The registration process will be conducted electronically, and Egyptians abroad can create their accounts on the initiative's website and conduct dollar transfers to their accounts. The minimum transfer value is $5,000 per transaction, and multiple transfers can be made. The transferred amounts will be added to the account holder's balance after verification and approval. The balance will then be used to book a unit or units according to the project's rules and payment systems.
According to Dr. Walid Abbas, Deputy Minister of Housing for Urban Communities, the units will be allocated based on a first-come, first-served system, and various payment methods will be available, including 100% payment of the unit's value or 50% payment with discount rates applicable to each project. Dr. Abbas emphasized that the initiative's mechanisms and payment systems are being developed to facilitate the process and provide competitive advantages.
Dr. Ahmed Amr, Supervisor of the Real Estate and Commercial Sector at the New Urban Communities Authority, stated that the registration phase will allow participants to create their electronic accounts and conduct dollar transfers. He added that the transfers will be made through a specific code for each participant and can be tracked and verified on the initiative's website.
The "Your Home in Egypt" initiative is open to Egyptians residing abroad aged 21 and above. Interested parties can register through the initiative's website and contact the hotline 19010 or follow the official social media pages for more information.
The Egyptian government has emphasized that the registration and transfer phase does not imply the start of unit booking or allocation. The allocation will be based on the procedures and dates set for the actual booking, not on the registration or transfer dates.
