The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has forecast that a low-pressure system currently affecting the country will move towards the eastern regions and Syria on Sunday, reducing its impact on most parts of the country. This shift will lead to a decrease in rainfall, with the weather remaining cool and temperatures around or slightly below average for this time of year.

According to Dr. Manar Ghannam, a meteorologist at the Egyptian Meteorological Authority, the country will remain under the influence of moderate air masses coming from southern Europe via the Mediterranean. This will maintain temperatures around normal or slightly lower than usual. The maximum temperature in Greater Cairo is expected to range between 24 and 25 degrees Celsius, with a moderate climate during the day and cooler temperatures at night.

The weather will be mild during the day in most governorates, with temperatures expected to reach 28-29 degrees Celsius in Luxor and Aswan. However, temperatures will drop significantly at night, with cooler temperatures expected in the late evening and early morning hours. The minimum temperature in Greater Cairo is expected to range between 16 and 17 degrees Celsius.

Although there is still a chance of rain on Sunday, it will be concentrated mainly on the northeastern coastal areas due to the eastward movement of the low-pressure system. Moderate rain is expected in these areas, with light to moderate rain in the northwestern coastal areas and northern parts of the country. There is also a slight chance of light rain in some areas of southern Egypt and the Canal cities.

The Meteorological Authority has warned of continued maritime disturbances on the Mediterranean Sea, with wave heights expected to range between 2 and 3 meters in some areas. Although this is lower than today's and yesterday's wave heights, the sea conditions will remain moderate to rough.

The meteorologist also warned of the possibility of fog formation on agricultural and highway roads near water bodies in the early morning hours, which may reduce visibility. Citizens are advised to be cautious while driving and to follow weather forecasts regularly.

Dr. Ghannam advised citizens to continue wearing autumn clothing throughout the day, especially at night and in the early morning, and to stay updated with weather forecasts. The wind will be active, with speeds ranging from 30 to 35 kilometers per hour in most areas, increasing the feeling of cool temperatures.
