Takadum Microfinance, a leading Egyptian microfinance institution focused on empowering women entrepreneurs, has attained the Gold Level Client Protection certification from Microfinanza Rating (MFR), in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC). This prestigious recognition comes after the institution successfully met 100% of the required criteria, a significant milestone achieved as Takadum celebrates three decades of operations. The certification is a testament to Takadum's commitment to upholding international standards in client protection and responsible finance.

The achievement of the Gold Level certification is the culmination of Takadum's ongoing efforts to enhance its operations and ensure the highest standards of client protection. Over the years, the institution has implemented various initiatives aimed at promoting responsible finance practices and protecting its clients. Notably, Takadum introduced the "Golden Finance" product, a tailored financial solution for women entrepreneurs with formal businesses, offering financing ranging from 100,000 to 292,000 Egyptian pounds.

In line with its strategy to leverage technology and improve client experience, Takadum launched a mobile application, enabling clients to access financial services conveniently and efficiently. The app allows users to explore financial plans and products, create new accounts, submit financing requests, track application status, locate nearby branches, and monitor installments and payment status. Additionally, the app provides direct channels for clients to submit complaints, suggestions, and inquiries, thereby enhancing communication and service delivery.

Takadum has also invested significantly in human capital development through the launch of the "Takadum Academy" training platform. This initiative aims to equip staff with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality services while upholding client protection principles. All employees undergo mandatory training through the platform, which includes an assessment to ensure their understanding of client protection policies and practices.

Dr. Mona Thou Farrar, Chair of Takadum's Board of Trustees, emphasized that the Gold Level certification reflects the institution's long-standing commitment to responsible finance and client protection. She highlighted that client protection extends beyond mere compliance with standards, representing a comprehensive approach integrated into all aspects of client relationships.

Reham Farouk, CEO of Takadum Microfinance, noted that the certification achievement coincides with the institution's 30th anniversary, underscoring the significant progress made in developing a comprehensive model for microfinance that prioritizes client protection, responsible finance, digital transformation, and human capital investment. Farouk pointed to key milestones, including the launch of the "Golden Finance" product, the mobile application, and the Takadum Academy, as evidence of the institution's dedication to evolving client needs and preferences.

Hatem Arabi, Operations Manager at Takadum, provided insights into the mobile application, describing it as an integrated digital platform for financial services that enables clients to conduct various transactions and monitor their financing applications, installments, and payment status electronically, thereby enhancing the overall client experience.
