According to Ahmed Qandil, the official spokesperson for the General Presidency of Sufi Orders, Dr. Abdel Hadi Al-Qasbi, the Sheikh of Sufi Orders and head of the Higher Council of Sufi Orders, has announced the dates for these celebrations. This move is part of the Presidency's efforts to organize Sufi events and revive religious and heritage occasions. The festivities are set to take place in accordance with the traditional and cultural significance of these events.
The festival of Sayyid Ahmed Al-Badawi in Tanta is scheduled to start on October 16, 2026, and will continue until its closing ceremony on October 22, 2026. The festival will feature a Sufi conference on October 21, 2026, in the Seeger area of Tanta. Additionally, a Friday prayer session will be held at the mosque of Sayyid Ahmed Al-Badawi, attended by the Sheikh of Sufi Orders and the Governor of Gharbeya, Dr. Alaa Abdel Maati.
Following the Tanta festivities, the celebrations will move to the city of Desouk in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate. The festival of Sayyid Ibrahim Al-Dasouqi is set to begin on October 23, 2026, and will continue until its closing ceremony on October 29, 2026. A Sufi conference will be held on October 28, 2026, as part of the festivities.
The official spokesperson emphasized that these occasions represent significant spiritual and religious events, attracting widespread participation from members of Sufi orders and admirers of the Prophet's family and righteous individuals from across the country. The Presidency has ensured coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the events unfold in a manner befitting their importance.
