The Suez Canal Economic Zone has received a new Chinese investment in the Ain Al-Sokhna industrial zone. The groundbreaking ceremony for the second phase of the "Fanward Home Appliances" project was held within the industrial developer "Teda - Egypt". This phase is established with an investment of $12 million, spanning 13.3 thousand square meters.

The second phase aims to expand the manufacturing and assembly of home appliances, particularly gas-operated water heaters and their basic components. This expansion is expected to increase the project's production capacity and enhance its manufacturing and export capabilities. Additionally, it is anticipated to create over 300 job opportunities.

The initiation of the second phase of the "Fanward" project signifies a new milestone in Egypt-China economic and industrial cooperation. It reflects the project's success in transitioning from the establishment phase to operation and expansion. This success demonstrates the attractiveness of the Ain Al-Sokhna industrial zone for diverse Chinese investments.

The project represents a model for industrial investments that aim to deepen local manufacturing, localize technology, increase added value, and provide job opportunities. The Suez Canal Economic Zone continues to provide a comprehensive business environment that adheres to Egyptian state standards, supporting and empowering existing companies to expand and grow.

The zone leverages its strategic location and the integration of industrial areas, ports, and logistical services. This enables companies to access local, regional, and international markets easily. The second phase of the project focuses on smart manufacturing of gas water heaters and their components, aiming for an annual production capacity of 2 million units of water heater components and 500,000 complete heaters.

This development aligns with the company's goal to make the factory a primary center for manufacturing gas heaters in the Middle East and North Africa. The first phase of the "Fanward Home Appliances" project was inaugurated in January 2026, marking the beginning of local production for water heater components and parts.

The Suez Canal Economic Zone's ongoing efforts to provide an integrated business environment and its strategic advantages make it an attractive location for investments, such as the Fanward project, which contributes to economic growth and industrial development in Egypt.
