A high-level delegation from the Suez Canal Economic Zone, led by Admiral Mohamed Ibrahim, Deputy Head of the Zone for the Northern Region, concluded a promotional tour in Brazil's Paraná state. The visit aimed to explore cooperation and investment opportunities with various institutions, companies, and business leaders in the state. During the visit, Admiral Ibrahim met with Felipe Ozarío, Head of Business Development and International Relations at the Paranaguá Port Authority, and other port officials. The meeting focused on potential cooperation between the two sides, including opportunities for integration between the East Port Said port and Paranaguá port, one of the leading dry bulk ports in Latin America. The parties also discussed the port's operations, cargo handling mechanisms, and ship traffic.
The delegation also met with representatives of Cotrijuá, the company responsible for managing the grain terminal at Paranaguá port. The meeting was attended by Lucieneia Bozi, the company's manager, and Caio Morello, Operations Manager. The parties reviewed the logistics distribution center's operations for grains within the port and expressed interest in exploring potential cooperation opportunities with the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
Furthermore, the Suez Canal Economic Zone delegation met with representatives of the Paraná State Industries Federation (FIEP) and affiliated entities. The meeting was attended by Virgílio Moreira, FIEP President, and other officials. The parties discussed ways to enhance economic and investment cooperation in food industries, logistics services, and infrastructure, as well as opportunities for logistics connections and supply chain integration.
The tour was coordinated with the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, the Egyptian Embassy in Brazil, and the Egyptian Trade Representation Office in Brazil. The visit aimed to strengthen the Suez Canal Economic Zone's presence in growing markets and economies, and to explore cooperation opportunities with the business community.
