The Egyptian poultry sector has witnessed stability in prices, with the cost of poultry ranging between 68 and 69 pounds per kilo on the farm, according to Abdel Aziz El-Sayed, head of the poultry wealth department at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce. This sector plays a crucial role in Egypt's food security and national economy. The industry comprises over 27,000 diverse farms, including those producing table eggs, broiler chickens, parent stock, and companies specializing in producing parent and grandparent stock.

The Egyptian government is working to provide support to small and large producers, and to open new export markets in Arab and African countries, as well as international markets. This comes after Egypt was approved as one of the countries that apply the isolated poultry farm system according to the regulations of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH). The poultry sector in Egypt has achieved significant growth, with investments exceeding 200 billion pounds in recent years.

The prices of white poultry have ranged from 85 to 90 pounds per kilo, varying by region. Egypt has made significant progress in increasing its domestic production of veterinary vaccines, rising from 120 million doses per year to 2.3 billion doses annually. This development was announced by Dr. Alaa Farouk, the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation.

The prices of Rumi poultry have ranged from 150 to 160 pounds per kilo in the local market. The poultry sector in Egypt has experienced unprecedented investment and production growth in recent years. According to Dr. Tarek Soliman, head of the Animal and Poultry Wealth Development Sector, the sector provides direct and indirect job opportunities for around 3.5 million citizens.

The prices of duck have started from 130 to 140 pounds per kilo. The Ministry of Agriculture is working to accelerate the process of opening new markets to absorb the surplus of local production, given the boom in the poultry sector. The production of white chickens has reached 1.6 billion birds, compared to 1.4 billion birds last year, with a growth rate of 14%.

The prices of chicks have increased by about two pounds, reaching 23 and 24 pounds. The production of table eggs has risen to 16 billion eggs, compared to 14 billion eggs last year. The production of local breed chickens has reached 360 million birds, with an increase of over 12%. The sector continues to grow, with prices of certain types of poultry, such as Minir El-Saka, recorded at 68 pounds for white poultry.
