The Egyptian Ministry of Housing, through the New Urban Communities Authority, has announced the completion of contracting procedures for winners of residential land plots in new cities. The move follows the regularization of these plots. Specifically, the New Cairo Urban Area device has started the contracting process for winners of residential land plots after completing the examination, review, and verification of submitted documents.
The device emphasized that those who won the land plots must prepare the required documents and attend the device's headquarters starting from December 27. The necessary documents include the original preliminary sale contract submitted with the application, documents proving ownership, a copy of the national ID card, and the original application submitted for reservation.
In cases where the application was submitted by mail, evidence of submission must be provided. Additionally, applicants must provide a bank check payable to the New Cairo Urban Area device. The check value varies according to the land area: 60,000 Egyptian pounds for lands up to 300 square meters, 100,000 pounds for lands between 300 and 500 square meters, and 150,000 pounds for lands exceeding 500 square meters.
The New Urban Communities Authority stated that all amounts mentioned in the table represent payments under account until the final financial settlements are determined according to the actual area of each land plot. The authority also stressed that transactions are carried out exclusively through the citizen service technology center at the device's headquarters.
The Egyptian government has been actively working on urban development projects, aiming to provide affordable housing and improve living standards. The New Urban Communities Authority plays a crucial role in implementing these projects, including the development of new cities and the allocation of land plots for residential and commercial purposes.
The regularization of land plots in new cities is part of the government's efforts to organize urban growth and provide a framework for sustainable development. By contracting land plots, the government aims to ensure that land is used efficiently and that urban development is carried out in a planned and organized manner.
The New Urban Communities Authority's move to contract new land plots is expected to boost the real estate market and provide opportunities for citizens to own land and build homes. The authority's efforts to streamline the contracting process and provide clear guidelines for applicants are likely to facilitate the process and reduce delays.
