The National Alliance for Community Development in Egypt has concluded the first batch of the second phase of its 'New Hope for Economic Empowerment' initiative. This phase was carried out in collaboration with the Chinese Embassy in Cairo and New Hope company. The initiative aims to support families and qualify them to establish productive projects through a comprehensive model that combines training, application, and follow-up.
The first batch achieved a success rate of 97.24%, with a beneficiary satisfaction rate of 97%. This reflects the effectiveness of the initiative's training and application model, as well as its ability to raise the efficiency of the beneficiary families and qualify them to manage their productive projects. The initiative was implemented in 6 villages in the governorates of Sharqia, Dakahlia, and El Behera.
Two models of financing were used in the first batch. The first model was supported by the Chinese Embassy in Cairo and covered 6 villages in Sharqia, Dakahlia, and El Behera governorates. The second model relied on the contribution of National Alliance institutions, where Abu El Enein Foundation covered 4 villages in Giza and Beni Suef governorates, while El Garhy Foundation covered 2 villages in Fayoum governorate.
The second phase of the initiative included the governorates of Giza, Beni Suef, Fayoum, El Behera, Dakahlia, and Sharqia. Beneficiaries received a comprehensive program that included theoretical training, practical application, and technical and field follow-up throughout the production cycle. The training included the basics of managing poultry farming projects, proper breeding methods, nutrition, and health care.
On the practical side, the training included preparing breeding places, using equipment and supplies, and proper handling of poultry. The initiative also extended to continuous technical and field follow-up and providing support and guidance to beneficiaries. This helps to convert theoretical knowledge into practical application and raise the efficiency of project management.
El Garhy Foundation in Fayoum governorate recorded a total weight of 9,859.3 kg, with a total amount due of 813,314 pounds. This reflects the size of the productive activity and the economic return achieved within the project. The philosophy of 'New Hope' is based on the idea that sustainable economic empowerment is not limited to providing production tools.
The National Alliance for Community Development and its partners are continuing their efforts to support economic empowerment and sustainable development in Egypt. The initiative is currently preparing to start the second batch of the second phase, as part of its expansion plan to reach more beneficiary families and maximize the developmental impact.
