The Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy has introduced multiple electronic methods for citizens to pay their monthly electricity consumption bills for October. This move aims to facilitate payments for all subscribers while ensuring the highest levels of security, eliminating the need to wait for bill collectors. These methods are designed to make the payment process smoother and more efficient.
The Ministry has made available several platforms for paying electricity bills electronically. One of the methods is through the official website of the Egyptian Holding Company for Electricity. Citizens can log in, choose the bill payment service, enter their meter details, and make payments using their bank cards. This method provides a direct and straightforward way to settle electricity bills.
Another electronic means provided is the Unified Electricity Services Portal. This digital platform not only allows for bill payments but also enables users to inquire about their bills and complete all electricity-related services in one place through simple steps. This integrated service aims to centralize and streamline electricity bill payments and related services.
The Ministry has also collaborated with various mobile applications to facilitate bill payments. For instance, the "My Fawry" application, available on both the App Store and Play Store, allows users to register their payment details and make direct payments. Additionally, the "Sahl" smart application, available on all mobile phones, offers services such as bill inquiries, payments, and prepaid meter recharges.
Mobile wallet services provided by telecom companies, including Vodafone Cash, Orange Cash, Etisalat Cash, and We Pay, offer another convenient method for paying electricity bills. Users can navigate to the "Bill Payment" section, select "Electricity," and make payments directly from their mobile wallet balance. This method provides an easy and quick way to pay bills using mobile devices.
Furthermore, the Ministry has partnered with 12 banks to allow payments through their mobile wallet applications. These banks include the National Bank of Egypt, Bank of Egypt, Alexandria Bank, Commercial International Bank, and others. This partnership expands the electronic payment options for electricity bills, making it more accessible for citizens to manage their payments.
In addition to the above methods, citizens can also pay their electricity bills through the extensive network of "Fawry" outlets, which comprises over 120,000 collection points and agents across Egypt. Other electronic collection points, including those of the Egyptian Postal Authority and various financial service providers, offer additional avenues for bill payments, both in cash and through bank cards.
