Egypt's Ismailia Governorate is prioritizing the employment of local residents in the upcoming Vaccine City project. Governor Lieutenant General Nabil Hasb Allah stated that he is eager to see more job opportunities created for the governorate's residents in the coming period. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that locals have access to the majority of job opportunities provided by projects and companies established in the governorate.
On Monday, the Ismailia governor attended a ceremony where contracts were signed with local residents who will be employed by the Vaccine City and Biotechnology Company (VBC). This collaboration between the governorate, the Ministry of Labor, and VBC aims to provide sustainable job opportunities and develop the skills of Ismailia's residents. The governor expressed his commitment to supporting partnerships with various entities and companies to create real job opportunities for locals.
The Vaccine City project has announced 104 available job positions in collaboration with the Ismailia Governorate and the Ministry of Labor. Initial interviews for applicants were conducted at the Ismailia Governorate's headquarters on August 23 and 24. Representatives from the company and relevant authorities participated in the evaluation process. Following the assessments, 13 candidates from the governorate were selected for various positions at the company, including one individual with disabilities.
The selection process was based on efficiency and specific job requirements. Lieutenant General Majdi Amin, advisor to the director-general of the National Service Projects Organization for Medical Affairs, stated that the creation of a comprehensive vaccine city is in line with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives. The goal is to enhance the state's capabilities in vaccine production and biotechnology, as well as address potential future pandemics or diseases.
Amin emphasized that this project is crucial for protecting Egypt and strengthening its ability to respond to sudden health crises, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative highlights the importance of investing in human capital and developing local capacities. Further interviews and evaluations for the remaining job openings are ongoing, aiming to provide sustainable employment opportunities for Ismailia's residents.
