Egyptian Housing Minister Randa El-Menashy has been monitoring the progress of several projects in New Suez City, a fourth-generation city near the Adabiya and Ain Sokhna ports. The city is being developed as a comprehensive urban community. El-Menashy received a report on the various projects underway in the city, including the first phase, which covers an area of 300 acres.
The report highlighted the progress made on various projects, including residential, service, and infrastructure developments. El-Menashy directed officials to continue implementing projects according to schedule while maintaining quality and coordinating with the city's authorities and executing companies. The minister also reviewed the results of a recent inspection tour by Ammar Mandour, deputy head of the New Urban Communities Authority.
The inspection tour included monitoring the progress of the "Free Housing" project, which consists of 86 buildings with 2064 housing units, each with an area of 90 square meters. The tour also covered the "Dyarna" project, which includes five buildings with 130 housing units, each with an area of up to 120 square meters. Additionally, the tour inspected a basic education school with 33 classrooms.
The school's building has been completed, and work is ongoing on the surrounding wall. The tour also included inspecting a model nursery and reviewing its final preparations for operation. A commercial market with seven shops and a pharmacy was also inspected, which was put up for public auction and sold out. The tour also covered the city's technological center.
El-Menashy and her team reviewed the work and mechanisms for providing services to citizens and investors at the technological center. They also inspected the city's administrative building and reviewed its works and readiness level. Furthermore, they monitored the progress of agricultural work and site coordination in areas where work is being carried out.
The report also covered several infrastructure projects, including a strategic connection bridge and a main water pumping station. The bridge project includes deep foundations, ordinary and reinforced bases, column pouring, and pre-cast beam installation. The main water pumping station has reached an advanced stage of completion.
The station is linked to a main earth tank with a capacity of 10,000 cubic meters, enhancing the efficiency of the drinking water distribution system. The report also covered gas and electricity projects, including a natural gas pressure reduction station and main and subsidiary gas networks, which have reached 95% completion.
