Egypt's Deputy Health Minister, Dr. Mohamed El-Tayeb, recently held a coordination meeting with representatives from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Comprehensive Health Insurance System, and other relevant parties. According to Dr. Hussam Abd El-Ghafar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, the meeting emphasized the importance of activating the Health Information Exchange (HIE) system. Hussam Sadek, Executive Director of the Egyptian Healthcare Authority; and Dr. Sherif Mostafa, Assistant Minister of Health for National Projects. Other attendees included Dr. Mahmoud Fakhr El-Din, Head of the Central Administration for Mechanization Projects; Eng. Khaled Metwally, Director General of the General Administration for Health Infrastructure and Information Security; and Brigadier General Ahmed Abdel-Baqy, Director of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Mechanization Program.
