Under the auspices of Dr. Abdel Aziz Kansoua, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture, the Egyptian General Authority for Cultural Palaces, led by artist Hisham Atwa, is launching a rich and diverse cultural and artistic agenda. The events will run from October 4 to 10, as part of the Ministry of Culture's programs aimed at spreading awareness and achieving cultural justice across the country.
The cultural palaces will host a packed program to celebrate the 53rd anniversary of the glorious October victory, featuring various events that will be implemented free of charge in different governorates. The events include concerts, meetings, educational seminars, literary events, poetry evenings, and creative workshops for children. On October 4, a concert by the Kafr El-Dawar Arabic Music Ensemble will be held at the Kafr El-Dawar Cultural Palace in Beheira Governorate.
The General Authority for Cultural Palaces is also participating in the 19th annual Military Cultures Exhibition, "October Memory," organized by the Military Research Center at the October Panorama. The authority's stand will feature an exhibition of traditional handicrafts and a book fair with publications in various fields at discounted prices. Additionally, the authority will present a group of artistic performances in collaboration with affiliated ensembles.
The Ismailia International Festival for Folk Arts will kick off on October 10, with a festive parade featuring Egyptian and foreign folk art ensembles. The festival's official opening ceremony will take place on October 11 at the Ismailia Cultural Palace, and the events will continue until October 16. The festival will feature ensembles from Russia, Romania, Lebanon, Tanzania, Sudan, Algeria, Jordan, Indonesia, and Egypt.
In celebration of the victory anniversary, the Shalatin Cultural Palace will host the first Shalatin Children's Book Fair from October 4 to 12. The General Authority for Cultural Palaces will participate with a special stand offering various issues of "Qatr Al-Nada" magazine, which specializes in children's content. The magazine provides a diverse range of stories, intellectual topics, and literary and journalistic sections.
The General Authority for Cultural Palaces is also participating in the ninth edition of the Damanhour Book Fair, organized by the Egyptian General Authority for Books, at the public library in Damanhour. The authority will present a group of new books and publications that reflect the diversity of thought and creativity in various publishing series at discounted prices.
As part of the "Salon of Mass Culture" events, the General Authority for Cultural Palaces will organize six meetings to celebrate the anniversary of the victory. The meetings will be held in various governorates, featuring a selection of writers, academics, and specialists. The events will include discussions on topics such as decision-making in the October War and the role of soft powers in October victories.
