The Egyptian Ambulance Service has initiated a comprehensive plan to secure the African events in El Alamein, which will take place from October 2-4. The plan aims to provide top-notch medical and ambulance services to participating delegations and guests. This effort is concurrent with the continued provision of ambulance services to citizens in the Matruh governorate. The events include the El Alamein Africa Forum and the summit of the founding countries of the African Union Development Agency (NEPAD).

According to Dr. Amr Rashid, head of the Egyptian Ambulance Service, the agency has intensified its preparations to secure the events, following directives from Health and Population Minister Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar. The goal is to provide maximum care and security for Egypt's guests while maintaining regular operations of the ambulance system and services provided to Matruh citizens.

Over 100 personnel from medical and ambulance teams are participating in the security plan. The plan includes deploying five mobile rescue teams for rapid intervention, two equipped medical clinics for providing necessary medical services, and five ambulance vehicles configured as mobile intensive care units. Additionally, a self-sterilizing ambulance is allocated to handle highly infectious cases, and 29 ambulances are stationed to secure main roads leading to event venues.

Dr. Rashid mentioned that a support plan has been activated, allowing for additional reinforcements from Alexandria and El Beira if needed. The plan also ensures an adequate supply of oxygen cylinders and reviews the efficiency of medical devices in participating ambulances. All medical teams and personnel are connected through a fully secured wireless network linked to a central command and control room.

The command and control room, headed by Minister Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, oversees and evaluates various aspects of the security plan in coordination with relevant authorities and Health Ministry sectors. This effort is part of the extensive preparations to secure the African events in El Alamein while ensuring continuous ambulance services for Matruh citizens.

The plan by the Egyptian Ambulance Service is integral to the overall preparations for the African events in El Alamein, guaranteeing the provision of high-quality medical services and maintaining public health standards. The events represent a significant opportunity for Egypt to showcase its capabilities in hosting major international gatherings.

Key aspects of the plan include deploying over 100 personnel, securing event venues with advanced medical equipment, and coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure a seamless experience for participants. The initiative underscores Egypt's commitment to providing exceptional medical care and security during international events.
