Egypt's Ahli Bank has introduced a new Platinum Certificate, offering investors a secure and stable way to grow their savings. The certificate has a 3-year term and a minimum purchase price of 1000 EGP, with multiples available to suit different investment needs. According to the bank's official Facebook page, the certificate provides a guaranteed return without the risks associated with other investment options like real estate or the stock market.
The Platinum Certificate offers a fixed return of 17.75% per annum, paid monthly, or 17.85% per annum paid quarterly. Alternatively, investors can opt for a variable return of 19.50% per annum, paid monthly, which is linked to the Egyptian Central Bank's monetary policy decisions. This provides investors with flexible options to suit their financial goals.
Ahli Bank also offers a Platinum Certificate with a variable, decreasing return. This certificate provides a higher return in the initial years, with 21% in the first year, 16.25% in the second year, and 12% in the third year, when the monthly payment option is chosen. This allows investors to benefit from higher returns in the early years of their investment.
For investors looking to invest 200,000 EGP, the returns are substantial. With a fixed return of 17.75%, the investor can earn an annual profit of 35,500 EGP, or a monthly return of 2,958 EGP, totaling 106,500 EGP over three years. In contrast, the variable return certificate currently offers a monthly return of 3,250 EGP, subject to change based on monetary policy decisions.
The Platinum Certificate with a variable, decreasing return offers investors 3,500 EGP per month in the first year, totaling 42,000 EGP annually. In the second year, the investor receives 2,708 EGP per month, and in the third year, 2,000 EGP per month. This provides investors with a clear understanding of their returns over the investment term.
In terms of redemption, Ahli Bank has set certain conditions. The certificate cannot be redeemed before six months have passed from the date of purchase. However, investors can take out loans or issue credit cards with up to 90% of the certificate's nominal value as collateral. Additionally, the certificates are automatically renewed at maturity, unless the customer requests otherwise.
The Platinum Certificate can be purchased electronically through Ahli Bank's online platforms, "Ahli Net" and "Ahli Mobile". This provides investors with a convenient and hassle-free way to invest in the certificate. With its attractive terms and flexible options, the Platinum Certificate is an appealing investment opportunity for individuals looking to grow their savings.
