The Egyptian Ministry of Transportation has started operating the second phase of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system on the Cairo Ring Road. The segregation of the BRT lane in the first phase, which spans 35 km and includes 14 stations from the Police Academy to the intersection with the Alexandria Agricultural Road, has been successful.
