Egyptian Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Mohamed Farid, has announced the pilot launch of self-service kiosks for investors at the Cairo International Technology Exhibition and Conference (Cairo ICT 2026). This initiative allows investors to obtain various company documents independently, 24 hours a day. The launch was attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and aligns with recommendations from the Egypt Forum 2026 to digitalize government services.

The self-service kiosks aim to provide greater flexibility in completing transactions, reduce the time and effort required to access services, and ensure their availability around the clock. The Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade plans to expand its digital services and simplify procedures related to company establishment and business operations. This move is part of the ministry's plan to improve investment services through electronic service delivery and stronger integration among relevant government authorities.

The kiosks will enable investors to issue and print certified true copies of several company documents, including articles of association and certificates of incorporation. Services will be provided through electronic procedures, allowing investors to obtain required documents without interacting with staff or being restricted by official working hours. Electronic identity verification mechanisms, including national identity cards and passport verification, will be used to ensure security and integrity.

Mohamed Farid emphasized that the pilot launch represents a practical step towards implementing the ministry's plan to improve investment services. The ministry is developing several digital projects, including a platform for capital increase procedures and an economic entities platform. Amendments to the executive regulations of the Companies Law are being prepared to expand the use of digital technologies in delivering investor services.

The Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade is working to eliminate duplicated procedures and excessive documentation requirements while improving the efficiency of the business environment. Expanding access to services through self-service kiosks reflects the ministry's approach to diversifying the channels through which investment services are delivered. This move aims to ensure that digital transformation delivers tangible improvements to the experience of investors and citizens.

Mohamed Awad, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), explained that the authority plans to deploy the self-service kiosks across its 15 Investor Service Centres nationwide and at several other government entities involved in investment services. A document delivery service will be introduced in cooperation with Egypt Post, allowing company documents to be delivered to an address specified by the investor within the same working day.

The introduction of self-service kiosks and document delivery services aims to make investment services more convenient and accessible for investors. The Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and GAFI are working together to improve the investment climate in Egypt by simplifying procedures and providing efficient services. The use of digital technologies is expected to enhance the overall experience of investors and citizens.
