The Egyptian General Tourism Development Authority has announced the issuance of 16 final land allocation decisions for investment plots in the south of Magawish tourism hub, south of the Red Sea city of Hurghada. The total area of these plots exceeds one million square meters. These allocations are intended for the implementation of a comprehensive package of hotel, service, and entertainment tourism projects.

Egyptian Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Randa El-Manshawy, emphasized that the state is giving significant importance to maximizing the utilization of the tourism and investment potential of various tourism areas. The goal is to provide a supportive environment to attract more investments and implement integrated projects that contribute to achieving sustainable development and enhancing the efficiency and competitiveness of Egyptian tourism destinations.

The expansion of tourism projects aligns with the state's vision to increase the capacity of hotel rooms and enhance the capabilities of tourism cities and centers. This aims to support the national economy and provide more job opportunities. El-Manshawy assured that her ministry and the General Tourism Development Authority will continue to support serious investments, facilitate procedures, and monitor project implementation according to specified timelines.

Mostafa Abdel Wahab, CEO of the General Tourism Development Authority, provided further details on the allocation decisions. These decisions cover 16 land plots within tourism center plans, spanning a total area of over one million square meters. The goal is to implement projects that will add approximately 856 hotel rooms, in addition to managed accommodation units. Furthermore, one of the existing projects will see its capacity increased to 946 hotel units.

Abdel Wahab also mentioned that the decisions include approving the implementation of two water parks, one of which will be operated by a global company. Additionally, there are plans for tourist service centers and luxury entertainment areas. These developments aim to support existing and future tourism projects, diversify tourism products and services offered to visitors, and ensure that these projects are executed according to approved timelines.

The General Tourism Development Authority will closely monitor the implementation of these projects to ensure they are completed and operational within the set timelines. This will help achieve the region's tourism development targets. By supporting and facilitating these integrated tourism projects, Egypt aims to bolster its tourism sector and enhance its appeal as a premier tourist destination.

The projects are expected to significantly contribute to Egypt's tourism industry by increasing hotel room capacity, improving services, and offering a wider range of entertainment options. This development is part of a broader strategy to leverage Egypt's rich tourism potential and make the sector a key driver of economic growth and job creation.
