The Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has decided to close four branches of the Nobel Institution - Mohamed Khaled Training Group, located in Giza, Fayoum, and Beni Suef. These institutions were operating without a license, offering various diplomas and certificates. The decision was made by Dr. Abdel Aziz Kansoua, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as part of the government's efforts to crack down on fake educational institutions.
The institutions in question had been promoting their services through social media and advertising materials, claiming to offer accredited diplomas and certificates. They also claimed to provide benefits such as job title changes, union registration, and professional license extraction. However, these claims were found to be in violation of the regulations and controls governing educational institutions in Egypt.
The closed institutions include one in the Second District of the Sixth of October City in Giza, two in Fayoum, and one in Beni Suef. The Ministry of Higher Education discovered that these institutions were operating without the necessary licenses and were misleading students and their families. The Ministry has taken legal action against the institutions and has coordinated with the governors of Giza, Fayoum, and Beni Suef to ensure the closures are enforced.
Dr. Abdel Aziz Kansoua has instructed the relevant authorities to take necessary measures to prevent the closed institutions from resuming their activities. He has also emphasized the need for intensified campaigns to monitor and shut down other unauthorized educational institutions. The Ministry aims to protect students and their families from exploitation and ensure that educational institutions operate within the law.
The decision to close the institutions was based on a report by Dr. Ahmed El-Gioushy, Secretary of the Supreme Council for Technological Education and Acting Head of the Education Sector at the Ministry. The report highlighted the efforts of the Judicial Control Committee, which continues to monitor and shut down unauthorized educational institutions.
Dr. Adel Abdel Ghafar, the Ministry's official spokesperson, has stated that the Ministry's media office is monitoring advertisements and promotional activities of fake institutions around the clock. He added that the Ministry is working closely with the Ministry of Justice to support the Judicial Control Committee and increase its capacity to crack down on unauthorized institutions.
The Ministry of Higher Education has published a list of accredited educational institutions in Egypt, as well as a blacklist of fake institutions that have been shut down. The Ministry will continue to update these lists in collaboration with regulatory bodies and concerned parties, and will make them available on its official website and social media accounts.
