The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken into custody Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, the suspended South-West zonal coordinator of the women's wing of the City Boy Movement. According to EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale, Tejuosho is currently in the custody of the anti-graft agency. Her arrest was made on September 8 over an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence. This development comes months after the EFCC declared her wanted in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged fraud.
Tejuosho, 41, an indigene of Lagos State, was initially declared wanted by the EFCC in April. At the time, her last known address was listed as House A26, Aso Grove Estate, Maitama Extension, Abuja. The EFCC had appealed to members of the public with information about her whereabouts to contact its offices or the nearest police station and other security agencies. The latest development confirms that Tejuosho is now in EFCC custody as investigators continue to examine the allegations against her.
This is not Tejuosho's first encounter with the EFCC. In June 2025, she was questioned by the EFCC over allegations connected to an appointment and contract scam. Complaints had been made that she allegedly collected money from individuals after promising to help them secure federal government appointments and lucrative contracts. Reports at the time suggested that fake appointment letters and other forged documents were allegedly used to convince victims that she had the connections required to facilitate government appointments and contracts.
Tejuosho, who is the founder of Haleems Integrated Services Limited, was granted administrative bail while the investigation continued. The case returned to public attention in April 2026 when the EFCC issued a wanted notice. Although the commission did not disclose the full details of the alleged transactions or the identities of all the persons who made complaints against Tejuosho, it stated that she was wanted in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged obtaining of money by false pretence.
