The Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled its campaign structure for the 2026/2027 elections. Governor Monday Okpebholo will chair the APC Campaign Advisory Council, positioning him at the forefront of the party's strategic campaign advisory structure. This move is part of the party's preparations for the upcoming elections. Okpebholo's appointment was announced by APC State Chairman Jarrett Tenebe.
Senator Adams Oshiomhole, a former governor of Edo State, will serve as Co-Chairman of the council alongside APC Edo State Chairman, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe. Other members of the Campaign Advisory Council include Senator Neda Imasuen, Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa, and Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh. The council also comprises senior political figures and party leaders, such as Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and Prof. Julius Ihonvbere.
The APC has appointed key officials to drive its campaign activities. Senator Matthew Urhoghide has been appointed Director-General of the Campaign Council, with Hon. Audu Gani as Deputy Director-General and Dr. Blessing Agbonmhere as Secretary. These appointments aim to provide a framework for coordinating the party's campaign activities, grassroots mobilisation, and engagement across Edo State.
The party has also announced its media team, led by former Chief Press Secretary and media strategist, Prince John Mayaki, as Director of Media. Hon. Omo-Ojo Orobosa will serve as Co-Director, while Collins Osaghae has been appointed Deputy Director. This team will oversee the campaign's media operations.
As part of its grassroots mobilisation strategy, the APC has unveiled coordinators for Edo State's three senatorial districts. Former Deputy Governor Lucky Imasuen will coordinate Edo South, while Lawani Abu will oversee Edo North. Thomas Okosun, former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, has been appointed coordinator for Edo Central.
The campaign structure is designed to coordinate the party's activities across the state's three senatorial districts and 18 local government areas.
