On September 23, 2026, Électricité de Guinée (EDG-SA) announced that it has obtained the ISO 9001:2015 certification for its Prestige client services. This achievement is a significant milestone in the company's transformation and modernization efforts. The certification was presented at an institutional ceremony held at the Hôtel NOOM in Conakry, Guinea, in the presence of regulatory authorities, the Board of Directors, partners, clients, media representatives, and EDG-SA personnel.

The ISO 9001:2015 certification recognizes EDG-SA's efforts to structure and improve its processes related to Prestige client services. The certification provides a framework for quality management based on customer orientation, process approach, risk management, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement. According to the Director-General of EDG-SA, the company aims to become a competitive and viable enterprise by 2029, relying on high-quality human capital and renewable energy resources to satisfy its customers.

EDG-SA is aware of the challenges and difficulties faced by its clients in the current context of electricity supply in Guinea, particularly in Conakry. The company acknowledges that the certification does not guarantee perfect electricity availability but rather strengthens its ability to organize its activities, follow its commitments, document its actions, measure its results, and take into account customer feedback.

In addition to the certification, EDG-SA has launched its new digital application, eEDG. The application aims to facilitate access to certain EDG-SA services, simplify customer procedures, and create new digital points of contact with the company. Through eEDG, EDG-SA intends to improve customer relations, provide easier access to information, and collect user feedback.

The launch of eEDG is part of a broader program of transformation, dematerialization, and digitalization of processes and services. The application complements existing customer relationship channels and will be supported by information, demonstration, and assistance. The certification primarily affects internal organization and process control, while eEDG makes EDG-SA's modernization efforts more visible to customers.

EDG-SA's transformation aligns with Guinea's national orientations, which aim to make energy a driver of economic, industrial, and social development. The Simandou 2040 program envisions a structural transformation of Guinea based on infrastructure development, inclusive growth, human capital, and sustainable resource exploitation. EDG-SA's certification and eEDG application contribute to this goal by strengthening organizational quality and modernizing customer relations.

The Director-General of EDG-SA commended the teams, quality correspondents, process managers, and commercial, digital, and technical teams that contributed to the achievement of the certification and the launch of eEDG. The company reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the ISO 9001:2015 certification, continuing to improve its processes, and contributing to the construction of a more efficient, accessible, and renewable energy-oriented system.
