A stakeholder from the community, Oka Franklin, described the event as historic, celebrating the existence, unity, culture, and traditions of the Ishiagu people. He expressed hope that the initiative would encourage communities across Ebonyi and the South-East to embrace peaceful coexistence. The event was a celebration of the community's mineral wealth and its potential to provide long-term benefits if properly harnessed.

The Chairman of the central planning committee of the event, Uchenna Orji, said it was organized by the community to recognize excellence in leadership, service, and hard work. He commended the honored Ebonyi leaders for peace and development of the state and urged them to continue their good works. Orji expressed happiness over the unity and peace in the community and the state in general.
