The Eastern Cape is gearing up for a vibrant week of entertainment, cultural gatherings, and family-friendly outdoor activities from October 2 to 10. The events will take place across various locations, including Gonubie, KuGompo City, and Qonce. A diverse selection of events has been lined up, including musical tributes and festivals, cultural and lifestyle events, inclusive community gatherings, and outdoor adventures.

The lineup includes a 90s Green Day tribute in Gonubie and a memorial concert honouring Albert Mazibuko at The Guild Theatre. The Green Day Tribute Show by Basket Case is set for October 2 at The Circle in Gonubie, celebrating 90s pop-punk with local opening bands. Tickets range from R100 for early bird bookings to R200 at the door, with a strict no under-18s policy in effect.

Cultural and lifestyle events feature the Olivewood Sunset Wine Walk, the all-female Amanina in Music festival, and the Clay Fest & Potters Market at Ann Bryant Art Gallery. The Olivewood Sunset Wine Walk will take place at the Olivewood Private Estate & Golf Club, beginning at 3 pm on October 2. This event features a 3 km walk with seven to eight wine-tasting stations paired with canapés.

The Amanina in Music Jazz Festival is scheduled for October 2 at 3 pm at Man's Buy & Braai, Qonce. Tickets are available from Webtickets, Pick n Pay, and Boxer, with prices ranging from R120 to R250. The 3rd annual Be-YOU-Tiful Fashion Show starts at 10 am on October 7, hosted by the Down Syndrome Association Amathole in collaboration with Down Syndrome South Africa (DSSA). The event promotes community inclusion by featuring models with special needs and Down syndrome.

Outdoor adventures and family entertainment range from the Komga Cabbage Patch trail runs and Norberry School Golf Day to the KuGompo Colour Splash and Ligugu Family Festival. The Komga Cabbage Patch event is scheduled for October 3 at the Komga Show Grounds, featuring trail running events for various fitness levels.
