They discussed ways to strengthen their strategic partnership through cooperation in areas including defense, security, and artificial intelligence.
Tajani highlighted the importance of ensuring freedom of navigation for trade routes and connectivity, sharing the goal of achieving a trade exchange target of 20 billion euros by 2029. He expressed Italy's desire to work together with India to seize opportunities offered by the EU-India Free Trade Agreement and the strategic development of the IMEC corridor.
