The Minister of State for Planning and Development Coordination, Guylain Nyembo Mbwizya, has officially handed over three development projects to communities in the territories of Songololo and Mbanza-Ngungu, in Kongo Central. The handover ceremony took place on October 1, 2026, as part of the 145 Territories Local Development Program (PDL-145T). The projects include the Kimpese Health Center in Songololo territory and Kunda-Masangu and Gombe-Matadi primary schools in Mbanza-Ngungu territory.

The handover mission included the National Coordinator of the Cellule de Financement des États Fragiles (CFEF), Diddy Nzuzi Kitukila, his deputy Serge Songolo Aruna, and several local authorities. During the tour, Nyembo emphasized the need to ensure the maintenance of the projects to preserve their functionality in the long term. He also requested that beneficiaries ensure their cleanliness and proper use.

Beyond the handover of these infrastructures, the Minister of Planning called on the new CFEF leadership to accelerate the execution of PDL-145T projects. He urged them to establish an acceleration plan with a projection of achievement rates to be reached by the end of 2026. This will enable President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo to address the nation with updated progress reports.

At Kunda-Masangu Primary School, the new infrastructure caters to a school community of 843 students, including 453 girls. The school's director, Antoine Lutuba Kueno, noted that the school was established in 1978 to bring educational services closer to the community. The new building will provide better conditions for students and teachers.

In Songololo territory, the Kimpese Health Center is another project handed over to beneficiaries. The center's director, Nzuzi Mukoko Nanou, expressed satisfaction with the new infrastructure, which has been a long-standing request from the local population and health personnel. She assured that the personnel would maintain the infrastructure in good condition.

The handover of these three projects is part of the government's efforts to accelerate the implementation of PDL-145T, a program launched to provide basic infrastructure to the 145 territories of the Democratic Republic of Congo, particularly in education, health, and community infrastructure sectors.

The projects align with the government's goal of improving living standards and providing essential services to local communities. The Ministry of Planning and Development Coordination will continue to monitor the maintenance and utilization of the handed-over projects.
