Dr. Oluwanifemi Fagbohun, a renowned community ecosystem builder and global beauty, health, and wellness expert, has been named one of the 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women 2026 Honourees. This prestigious recognition celebrates her leadership and contributions across community development, entrepreneurship, beauty, health, and wellness. Dr. Fagbohun was formally celebrated alongside other 2026 honourees at the 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women Awards celebration held on September 19, 2026, in Toronto.
With over two decades of experience building platforms, businesses, and community initiatives, Dr. Fagbohun has made a significant impact on entrepreneurs, women, girls, young people, and families across Canada and beyond. Her work is multifaceted, spanning Africa and North America, and includes developing a vegan and cruelty-free beauty brand, Niffy Signature, and founding Montreal Vendors, a business growth and community platform supporting over 17,000 entrepreneurs and creatives.
Dr. Fagbohun's commitment to community well-being extends through the Niffy Wellness Foundation, where she serves as founder and executive director. The foundation supports girls' and women's empowerment, youth voice, mentorship, culturally relevant wellness education, and community-based initiatives. Additionally, she serves as Director of Strategy, Community and Enterprise Development at African Collective Quebec, contributing to initiatives focused on economic empowerment, newcomer support, and cultural representation.
Dr. Fagbohun's involvement with the 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women 2026 programme extended beyond the awards celebration. On September 18, she participated as a panelist at the organization's symposium, contributing to the discussion, "Mental Health: Community Solutions for Black Girls, Women and Families." Her contribution focused on the role of schools, educators, youth-serving organizations, and community spaces in recognizing concerns early and supporting Black girls and young people.
Earlier in the year, Dr. Fagbohun joined four other women for "The Power of Narrative: Media and Representation," a panel held on February 8 as part of the programming featuring women from the 2026 cohort. During the discussion, she addressed representation through three central principles: accuracy, agency, and ownership. The panel was subsequently documented by journalist Safa Hachi in The Link, Concordia University's independent student newspaper.
Dr. Fagbohun's work has reached audiences across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Nigeria, with media appearances and features including CBC Montreal, Global News, and The Guardian Nigeria. She also contributes her experience through several strategic, advisory, and community roles, including serving as Strategic Board Advisor to Oceangates Emirates Energy Ltd. and Global Cultural Ambassador and Board Member for the Ojude Oba Festival.
