The application of laws related to gender-based violence and free justice for victims remains a challenge in Ituri, according to the NGO Réseau genre et droits des femmes (GEDROFE). To address this, GEDROFE launched a three-day workshop in Bunia on September 29, targeting justice auxiliaries. Participants from Bunia, Irumu, and Mambasa are learning about two new ordinances: n°23/023 and n°23/024, promulgated on September 11, 2023.
