The President of Djibouti, M. Ismail Omar Guelleh, received the Vice-President of the World Bank, M. Ousmane Dione on September 15, 2026.
The visit was part of a working trip to define the common framework for the next 5 years of cooperation between Djibouti and the World Bank.

The two parties discussed the identification of new strategic sectors for cooperation between Djibouti and the World Bank, with a focus on job creation and energy development.
The World Bank will provide significant support to Djibouti in increasing conformity between training and regional labor market requirements.
