Kalito's Way Group (KWG) is launching a new Thursday night entertainment concept called Kionjo Chetu, or Thursday Takeover, across its three venues: Kuku Kuku, Samaki Samaki, and Wavuvi Kempu. The initiative aims to provide revellers with a different reason to step out on Thursdays. The programme, set to begin on October 8, 2026, will offer distinct experiences at each venue, making Thursday a dedicated entertainment night across KWG's venues.

At Samaki Samaki, the Thursday experience will be known as Toroka Uje, starting at 10 pm. The venue has undergone changes in look and activities, with new elements prepared specifically for Thursday nights. KWG encourages revellers to explore the new programme, promising a different experience from the moment they arrive. The changes are designed to give customers a unique experience, setting Toroka Uje apart from regular nights at Samaki Samaki.

Wavuvi Kempu will adopt a completely different identity through Purple Thursdays, a concept built around the colour purple. The venue's lighting and presentation will follow the theme, with the DJ dressed in purple, making the colour central to the night. This immersive experience aims to create a memorable night out for customers, with purple being a key element of the evening.

Kuku Kuku will draw inspiration from Tokyo and Japanese culture through its Tokyo Thursdays concept. The venue plans to incorporate Tokyo-inspired elements and activities into its Thursday programme, giving the night its own identity. This adds another option for customers moving between KWG's venues, allowing them to experience different themes and atmospheres.

The three experiences are connected through KWG's Route 360 concept, which allows customers to move between its branches and choose where they want to spend their Thursday night. This flexibility enables customers to start the evening at one KWG venue and then move to another to experience a different theme, with the three locations forming part of the group's wider Thursday programme.

According to KWG, the initiative is part of its broader plans to bring more creativity into its events and build experiences that give customers something to remember beyond a single night out. The group aims to make the concept an everyday experience at KWG, with customers leaving its venues with stories to tell about their time there.

For now, the focus is on Thursday, with Kionjo Chetu: Thursday Takeover beginning across Kuku Kuku, Samaki Samaki, and Wavuvi Kempu on October 8. KWG's new Thursday night entertainment concept promises to offer revellers a unique experience, with each venue providing a distinct atmosphere and activities.
