She was the 5th principal of Butere Girls High School, leading the institution from 1974 to 1979. During her tenure, she oversaw significant developments, including the expansion of the school's O-level classes from two streams to three, with a fourth introduced in 1977 through fundraising.
Under Omoka's leadership, Butere Girls also expanded its dormitory facilities as enrolment reached about 650 students. Her leadership at the three institutions formed part of a career in school administration and education that earned her a place among Kenya's trailblazers in the sector. Wamalwa said Omoka's work had left an indelible mark on the country.
Wamalwa expressed his condolences to the bereaved family, saying, "May her soul rest in eternal peace."
