The booths at Mbanga, Tiko, and Nsimalen have recorded rates of 60.94%, 62.55%, and 50.6%, respectively. The booth at Nkometou has an advancement rate of 29.11%. The project aims to reach a realization level of 71.85% by next month.
The construction project involves several key components, including preliminary works, conception, and clearance, which have been completed at a rate of 100%. The construction of the exploitation center building has also been carried out. The general excavation works, main construction of the toll booth buildings, and hydraulic works have been completed at a rate of 100%.
The continuous concrete pavement has been realized at a rate of 85%, while the off-platform sanitation works have been executed at 60%. Other ongoing works include finishes such as coatings, tiles, doors, windows, electricity, and plumbing, as well as the realization of islands and cabins and connection works to networks.
The project is being carried out by a private partner, Tollcam, and its subcontractors, Razel Cameroun and Egis Cameroun. The Mintp is overseeing the project to ensure its timely completion. Once completed, the automatic toll booths are expected to improve the efficiency of toll collection and reduce congestion on the roads.
