Constance Hospitality has marked the sixth edition of Sustainable September, a month-long initiative that saw its teams across various locations come together to implement sustainable practices. The program, which ran throughout September, was designed to go beyond environmental concerns and focus on community and employee well-being. The initiative was implemented across five Mauritian establishments, including Constance Sakoa Boutik, Constance Belle Mare Plage, Constance Prince Maurice, Constance Le Chaland, and C Mauritius Palmar.

Each establishment created its own calendar of activities tailored to its specific needs and community. The program covered various aspects of sustainability, including biodiversity, waste reduction, reuse, solidarity, health, well-being, responsible food, local culture, and environmental education. Djaved Fareed, Corporate Sustainability Manager at Constance Hospitality, noted that the 2026 edition stood out for its diverse initiatives, showcasing that sustainability could take many forms and have a positive impact on people, communities, and the environment.

The initiative included several activities, such as a plant competition, food and blood donation drives, and the collection of reusable items and second-hand furniture for local organizations. Constance Hospitality's teams also participated in clean-up operations, promoted healthy living, and engaged in educational activities. The Sustainability Awards 2026, held on October 1, recognized the efforts of the teams and marked the conclusion of the initiative.

The awards ceremony saw Williams Edouard from Constance Le Chaland receive the Sustainability Rising Star award, while Constance Belle Mare Plage won the Best Guest Engagement Initiative Awards, and Constance Prince Maurice received the Best Sustainability Initiative award. According to Djaved Fareed, Sustainable September aimed to make sustainability a concrete and collective effort, transforming the group's commitments into daily practices.
