Cécé Paul Kolié, a veteran artist from Guinea's forest region and a longtime acquaintance of Marie Seny Sagno, spoke about the chain of solidarity that has been established. He said that he contacted local representatives in Lola to seek the support of the BGDA, which reacted promptly due to Sagno's affiliation with the institution since 2010. The BGDA covered all costs, from her travel to her current medical expenses.
Marie Seny Sagno has been receiving treatment at the Clinic of Professor Cissé, where a specialized medical team has been caring for her. After 24 hours of observation, a diagnosis was made, and Dr. Namory Camara, a neurologist, provided an update on her condition. He stated that while her condition is improving, her chronic condition will require time and rigorous rehabilitation.
According to Dr. Camara, if the rehabilitation protocol is strictly followed, Sagno's chances of recovery are around 40%. The medical team will continue to provide the best possible care to ensure she can return home in the best conditions. Kpana Bamba, Sagno's only child, expressed his gratitude to the Guinean authorities, particularly the President, Prime Minister, and Ministry of Culture, for their support.
