The Agence nationale du service universel des télécommunications et du numérique (ANSUTEN) officially launched the 4th edition of its Renforcement des capacités à l’usage du numérique (R-CUN) program on October 7, 2026, in Conakry. The ceremony was presided over by Souleymane Bah, Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication, Digital Economy, and Innovation. The program aims to enhance the digital skills of young Guineans, particularly in mastering digital tools and artificial intelligence.

The R-CUN program was created in 2022 and is one of the flagship programs of ANSUTEN. It aims to strengthen the digital skills of young Guineans. After the success of the third edition, the fourth edition is open to young Guineans who want to train and develop their skills in the digital field. According to Gaoussou Sougoulé, Director General of ANSUTEN, this new edition targets 2,000 new beneficiaries in several strategic fields, including networks and telecommunications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data science, digital marketing, and digital literacy.

The program's strategy is based on a triptych: training, certification, and connection. Sougoulé emphasized that the program's ambition is inscribed in the vision of development carried by the Simandou 2040 program. The transformation of Guinea will not only rely on infrastructure, investments, or natural resources. The program has already trained over 3,200 beneficiaries, with around 40% being women, and has delivered 80 professional certifications in the ICT field.

Fanta Camara, spokesperson for the beneficiaries of the third edition, shared her experience and knowledge acquired during the program. She stated that the initiative is not limited to learning new skills but also allows for new encounters, collaborations, and perspectives. The program has provided beneficiaries with computers to put their knowledge and skills into practice.

Souleymane Bah, Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication, Digital Economy, and Innovation, emphasized that the digital transformation of Guinea is a collective responsibility. He urged the beneficiaries not to consider the training as an end in itself but as a starting point. The Guinea of tomorrow will need the skills, creativity, and commitment of all its citizens.

The R-CUN program has achieved significant results, including the distribution of nearly 2,000 computer kits. The program's impact is expected to contribute to the country's economic transformation, industrialization, and infrastructure development. The beneficiaries will have the opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge to address real-world problems.

The launch of the 4th edition of the R-CUN program demonstrates ANSUTEN's commitment to promoting digital skills and innovation in Guinea. The program is expected to have a positive impact on the country's digital landscape and contribute to the development of a skilled and competitive workforce.
