Meck-Moroni and Humanicom have signed a partnership agreement to strengthen health prevention efforts among the institution's members and staff. The agreement, signed on September 23 in Moroni, aims to enhance awareness and screening for diabetes and hypertension. As part of the partnership, two awareness and screening days will be organized at Meck-Moroni's headquarters this year. These activities will provide free blood pressure, blood sugar, and weight checks.

The partnership seeks to enable early detection of certain diseases and, if necessary, refer individuals to healthcare facilities. Humanicom's President and Founder, Dr. Nadjwa Abbas, a pediatrician, welcomed the agreement, citing her organization's work with vulnerable populations. Humanicom, founded in 2010, focuses on caring for seriously ill children and developing prevention initiatives. Dr. Abbas emphasized the importance of prevention, highlighting cases of individuals who discovered they had diabetes or hypertension during screening exercises.

The partnership agreement was marked by the opening of donation boxes at Meck-Moroni's headquarters, which collected 151,900 Comorian francs for Humanicom. The funds will be used to purchase equipment and finance Humanicom's interventions. Meck-Moroni also contributed one million Comorian francs to support Humanicom's activities and enhance its intervention capabilities.

Dr. Nadjwa Abbas expressed gratitude for the donation boxes, which she believes will help encourage and support Humanicom's awareness and prevention efforts. She emphasized that Humanicom not only helps children but also the broader population. The partnership between Meck-Moroni and Humanicom reflects a shared commitment to promoting health and well-being among the institution's members and the wider community.

The awareness and screening days will provide a valuable opportunity for Meck-Moroni's members, clients, and staff to access free health checks. This initiative is expected to raise awareness about the importance of early detection and prevention of diabetes and hypertension. By working together, Meck-Moroni and Humanicom aim to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of their members and the community.

The partnership between Meck-Moroni and Humanicom demonstrates the potential for collaboration between institutions to drive positive change in the community. By leveraging their resources and expertise, the two organizations can enhance health prevention efforts and promote a culture of wellness among their members and the broader population.
