The Controlling HIV Epidemic Project (CHEP), led by CIDRZ, has partnered with CHZ to implement Coordinated, Community-led Demand Creation for PrEP in 16 districts across 6 provinces. The goal is to increase awareness, informed decision-making, and uptake of PrEP, including Lenacapavir (LEN), as part of Zambia's combination HIV prevention package. The Priority Populations Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring that program interventions effectively reach adolescents, young people, and other priority populations.
Key responsibilities of the Priority Populations Lead include targeted strategy development, community engagement and demand creation, strengthening community and facility linkages, and coordination with the Ministry of Health, CIDRZ, and other stakeholders. The position requires a Master's degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field, and a minimum of 7 years of experience in public health, HIV prevention, community programming, or related areas.
The successful candidate will have strong experience working with adolescents, young people, priority populations, and community systems, as well as experience in social and behavior change, youth engagement, gender-responsive programming, and stakeholder coordination. The Priority Populations Lead will be expected to travel up to 50% of the time to supported provinces, districts, and program implementation sites.
